Children’s Hearing Test

As a parent, it can be a difficult time if you think your child is not hearing as well as they should be. Having any type of testing done on your child, including a hearing test, can be a little daunting. But rest assured, Advanced Hearing Solutions has clinicians trained in children’s hearing tests. Our clinicians are experts at working with your child to make the experience of having a hearing test as fun and as relaxed as possible. They will also explain the results to you including any next steps recommended based on the results.

Hearing tests do require your child’s cooperation, but our clinicians are very good at engaging with your child to get them to do the tests required. It is, however, a good idea to ensure your child is well and not too tired when they come for their hearing test. If your child is unwell on the day, you can call us to reschedule.

We also know that some children can be a little anxious about having their hearing tested. If your child wants to bring their favourite teddy to their appointment then they are of course welcome to come along. Our clinicians are trained in children’s hearing tests and will work with your child to put them at ease.

Child Hearing

The hearing tests our clinicians conduct will depend on the age and development of your child. All children are different, and our clinicians will work out how to best test your child’s hearing.
If at any time you have questions about the tests, the results, or the next steps, just make sure you ask your clinician.
